COMMUNICATION STUDIES The program of instruction in Communications Studies consists of skills that promote broadcasting techniques, public speaking and writing. It encourages student participation in group discussions, forums, debates and videotape productions. There are two required courses of Communication Studies that all Academy students must take: Communications/Media I and Communications/Public Speaking II. Communications IIH (Local) – The second half of the communications Studies program encourages students to promote their listening and speaking skills with the aid of media equipment. .5 credits
Communications III – This communications studies program encourages students to promote their writing skills with the aid of media equipment and community college resources. .5 credits
